Power and Limitations of Invisalign

Do you want to refine your smile and straighten out your teeth? Invisalign is a perfect solution. Learn about it below and by visiting this website https://yousmileismile.dk/

Invisalign is a dental treatment that straightens teeth. It’s made of an arrangement of invisible plastic aligners which fit snugly on the teeth. Unlike braces, Invisalign is removable. It’s an effective dental solution for those who want to straighten their teeth but don’t want to wear metal braces. It also negates the feeling of self-consciousness.

How does Invisalign work?

Even though Invisalign is removable, it’s supposed to be on for 20 to 22 hours per day. In these hours, the aligners apply pressure where teeth need to be fixed. Invisalign is usually replaced after a few weeks otherwise it slows down the treatment. It’s a painless tool but for the first time, pressure is felt on the teeth.

Which dental conditions can be fixed by Invisalign?

Many dental problems are cured by Invisalign. The most common issues are underbites (the lower teeth extend forward the upper teeth), crooked teeth, and overbites (the upper teeth extend forward the lower teeth). Invisalign can also fix gaps in teeth and align the crowded teeth which overlap on top of each other. Invisalign is also capable of fixing crossbite and an open bite. In an open bite, both the upper and bottom teeth are not in contact whereas, in crossbite, a few upper teeth are inside the bottom teeth when the mouth is shut.

Which dental conditions can Invisalign not fix?

If a crooked tooth has to be rotated aggressively in order to straighten it, Invisalign will fail to do so. Similarly, Invisalign can not close large gaps between teeth even though it fixes small gaps effectively. Moreover, it can’t lower or raise teeth in the jawline or fix a midline discrepancy beyond 2mm.
